UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency is organising a donation campaign in collaboration with Mercato Mall and Town Centre Jumeirah, under the themes ” Stand with Lebanon” and “Yemen can’t wait”.
The campaign and the booths invites shoppers to meet and interact with UNHCR staff and learn more about the plight of Syrian refugees in Lebanon and internally displaced persons in Yemen, while providing them the opportunity to donate on the ground to their cause of choice. This awareness and fundraising campaign, will allow the mall visitors to both express their solidarity with those who were forced to flee from their homes in search of safety, and provide financial support that will help displaced families pay for their basic necessities such as rent, food, and education, in dignity.
