Released as a celebration of Yamout’s 2-year wedding anniversary and set in her own dreamy wedding, the music video features her grand bridal entrance where she performed the song she wrote to her husband especially for that specific moment.
“As a single woman, I was very keen on exploring how love functioned. I would ask a married couple how they knew that their partner was ‘The One’, and their answer to me was always ‘You just know’. I used to find that an absurd answer, until it happened to me.”
She continues, “It’s so difficult to find lyrics that do justice to this feeling, this decision, this huge life-changing step. In the song I ended up talking about how I couldn’t find those words, and how it was in fact as simple as ‘You just know’. That’s the beauty of fate. You know it’s right when it feels right. Also, I wanted the melody to reflect the two most important parts of a relationship, Love and Playfulness. I find that a couple’s consistency in incorporating humor and playfulness in their relationship is vital for its survival.”
Mqaddar w Maktoub is Tina’s eighth musical release, part of her long-awaited and highly anticipated album “7aki Ma Nqal” (translated to “Words Unspoken”).
