Japan will extend 58,341 US dollars in grant to Dar Al-Ajaza Al-Islamiyya Hospital for reinforcing its healthcare data management system with a set of data computer server system. On March 3, 2021, Ambassador OKUBO Takeshi signed a grant contract with Mr. Suheil Chmaitelly, Director General of Dar Al-Ajaza Al-Islamiyya Hospital.
Dar Al-Ajaza Al-Islamiyya Hospita has long played a vital role in providing healthcare services to persons with special needs and elderly people as well. Considering its longstanding contribution to serve the community, Japan has decided to help the Hospital procure a set of data computer server system that will improve the medical data management. This project, delivered through Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Program, will greatly enhance the hospital’s performance, allowing it to manage medical records of more than 15,600 patients with more accuracy and precision.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Chemaitelly Souheil, General Manager appreciated the close partnership which has united Japan and the Hospital with the view to improving the healthcare services in Lebanon. On the other hand, Ambassador Okubo, appreciating the Hospital’s crucial role in extending the medical support to the vulnerable people in the community, expressed his determination to continuously support the health sector as one of the prime targets in Japan’s aid policy vis-à-vis Lebanon.
