The Government of Japan provided medical equipment for Dar Al Ajaza Al Islamia Hospital in Beirut, through its Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Program.
On June 14, 2021, Ambassador OKUBO Takeshi attended the inauguration ceremony at Dar Al Ajaza Al Islamia Hospital (DAIH). With the grant of 87,058 US dollars, the hospital will now be able to provide around 9,540 patients yearly with quality medical service in its physiotherapy, laboratory, radiology and other departments, through newly installed medical equipment, such as pressure sterilizer centrifuges and electrical stimulator.
At the ceremony, Mr. Ousama Chouckeir, the president of the board of trustees expressed his deep appreciation for the Japanese support for the Hospital. Ambassador Okubo commended DAIH’s role in prodding the health infrastructure of the community and expressed his determination to support the health sector in Lebanon.
