The Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) – Promoter of the 2021 Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix – is delighted to announce the launch of its Arab language podcast dedicated purely to Formula 1 – the premier motorsport series on the planet – ahead of its debut in Jeddah on December 3rd – 5th, 2021.
The aim and purpose of the podcast – scheduled for 20 episodes between now and the arrival of F1 in Saudi Arabia later this year – is to provide Saudi and Arab audiences across the region with an informative, engaging and fun resource to discover more about the world’s largest global sporting series that will be landing on the shores of the Red Sea in less than 6 months to race on what will become the longest and fastest street circuit in the world – the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
The podcast will be presented by renowned Lebanese Formula 1 presenter, producer & reporter, Sabine Sassine – host of the MBC Action F1 coverage in the region – alongside the prominent Saudi presenter/producer, Nayef Al Moutairy – an established veteran of Saudi sports channels including Rotana Khalijia, UFM Radio, MBC Pro channels and the official Saudi TV.
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Podcast will be fully Arab speaking, catering to the local and regional audiences who are waiting with huge anticipation and excitement for the pinnacle of motorsport to make its debut in the Kingdom later this year. Each week, the podcast will provide updates on all on and-off-track developments ahead of the first ever F1 race in the Kingdom, address the latest breaking news from the world of Formula 1 and also delve deeper into what makes the sport tick – explaining to audiences old and new what Jeddah can expect when Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen & Co reach the stunning coastal city in December 2021.
This Podcast will help raise awareness about Formula 1 in the Arabic region in general, and especially in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, by delivering a clear picture of what happens on track and behind the scenes at a Formula 1 race weekend.
In addition, the podcast will feature informative and educational segments aimed to showcase the many career opportunities presented by working in Formula 1, with a range of guests from all areas of the sport scheduled to be on the podcast to talk about their own experiences and how these can act as inspiration for the young people of Saudi Arabia and the wider region to use the coming of F1 to the country to forge their own path.
Moreover, many more esteemed guests from the world of F1 and the region will be joining Sabine & Nayef on the podcast as we look ahead to the biggest sporting event ever to be staged in Saudi Arabia. These will include the likes of HRH Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al Abdullah Al Faisal, Chairman of the Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation – who is the special guest on Episode 2 released today – and many other famous names from the world of Formula 1 – ranging from drivers, team members, senior executives to international and regional experts.
