Actor and writer Shane Callahan is set to co-star in HULU’s highly anticipated femme fatale drama series “Reprisal” opposite Abigail Spencer (“Timeless”), Rodrigo Santoro (“Westworld”), and Mena Massoud (ALADDIN) which just premiered. The hyper-noir revenge tale, from “The Handmaid’s Tale” EP Warren Littlefield, follows relentless femme fatale ‘Katherine Harlow’ (Spencer) who, after being left for dead, leads a vengeful campaign against the bombastic ‘Banished Brawlers’ gang.
Long after being left for dead by her brother and his gang, Katherine Harlow has reemerged far from their world as the charming Doris Dearie (Spencer). Having enjoyed some years of peace, she now finds her quaint lifestyle on the brink of unraveling. Prompted to embark on a mission to rescue her long lost niece from the very gang that tried to kill her, she aims to exact her revenge every step of the way.
Callahan plays ‘Bru’, one of the Banished Brawlers, a former River Phoenix – a gang within the gang – and gang leader Joel’s (Santoro) loyal right-hand man. Bru oversees the daily operations of the 3 River Phoenixes and the Brawlers. The series is created and written by Josh Corbin (“StartUp”) and hails from A+E Studios and The Littlefield Company.
Born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, Callahan attended the Art Institute of Pittsburg where he studied music editing. While there he found his love for filmmaking and ultimately his passion for acting. After college he moved to North Carolina where he began taking acting classes and doing theatre. After landing an agent he began booking commercials (Coca-Cola), and guest roles in television.
When he’s not traveling or prepping for his next role, Shane spends his time volunteering with anti-bullying organizations, playing fantasy sports, World of Warcraft and catching up on his favorite shows.
