The 3rd International Adana Flavor Festival which brought Adana cuisine to Mediterranean countries with the theme of “Great Mediterranean Feast” on 4 – 6 October this year, was opened with the most famous butcher of the world, Italian master Dario Cecchini and the most important meat master of Turkey Cüneyt Asan’s gastroshow. Cecchini said they were excited to be in Adana and Asan’s show was watched with great interest.
Three days of gastronomic feast, attended by over 200,000 people, achieving the World’s Largest Kebab with a length of 222 meters (Previous record was 194 meters and held by China).
The Lebanese stand was extremely vibrant and overwhelmed by the amount of visitors that have savoured with a lot of interest the Lebanese Falafel, Musabaha, Hummus, Sfiha & Mojaddara.
The chefs from Lebanon were Chadi Sleiman (Owner of “Sawani Falfoul”), Fadel Barakat (Owner of “Baalbake”), Ali Traboulsi (Owner of “Quattro Group”), Fady Hamze (Shawfal) and Abdallah Sabra (Owner of “the Couple bites”).
There was also a very notable presence at the event from Mrs Anissa Helou, Mr Anthony Rahayel (No Garlic No Onions), Mr Bilal Abdul Hak (Eat.Sleep.Vlog), in addition to many Lebanese visitors most of whom got there with Wings of Lebanon, the airline that is operating direct flights between Beirut and Adana all year round. It is important to mention the enormous efforts of Mr Selcuk Tansalar, owner of Ramada Adana hotel, a big lover of Lebanon and the Lebanese cuisine. With the hopes to see you next year with a larger participation from many more Lebanese talents and flavours.
